Yet another action-packed month here at Stroud Road Vets and this one came with a distinct whiff of autumn.
As the colder months close in, we've treated ourselves to a lovely log burner. It's already earned its place as the cosiest corner of the practice, and the perfect spot for showing off the cards and gifts you so kindly send our way. There's something very fitting about a warm fire surrounded by the warmth of our clients.
Jot has also been hard at work getting our flower baskets ready for the colder months, with a beautiful display of hardy, frost-resistant planters now brightening up the front of the practice. Do have a look on your way in!
Speaking of colder months and the fact that Christmas is creeping ever closer. Boxer the beagle decided to get his festivities underway. He is the first Stroud Road vets’ dog of the season to fall victim to the humble mince pie.
Not content with his prize however, Boxer had also helped himself to a box of orange chocolates his owner had put in the bin. Wrappers and all. His nose, it turns out, does not recognise bin lids as a barrier.
He was made to give up the goods — along with everything else accompanying them in his stomach that day and we're pleased to report he's absolutely fine and back to his usual mischievous self.
This is a good reminder to please keep chocolate, raisins, grapes and mince pies well out of reach as the festive treats start appearing: Boxer's nose is not the only one out there that works this well.
We are overwhelmed by the gratitude that comes our way, as you can see from our display wall below showing all the cards we receive in one place. Little reminders like this are a huge part of why we do what we do, and we are ever so grateful for the gifts and kind words that arrive alongside them.
We're also delighted to show off our team's Pet Plan award nominations. These are nominations for the practice as a whole, and we couldn't have earned them without your continued support — so thank you.
